Elspec G4431 Description
The Elspec G4400 Blackbox series as the name implies looks like a simple black box, it basically requires the connection of the phase voltages normally via a voltage transformer and the through-hole connection of the current phases via current transducers. It’s then equipped with standard industrial interface protocol for seamless integration with existing SCADA systems or a simple connection to your PC or Laptop.
The Elspec G4431 Blackbox power quality analyser measures and records 1,000’s of power parameters continuously at 1024 samples per cycle and 256 for current of which, any given resolution is calculated for display and reporting purposes. Hence, there is no need to select which parameters to log, and more importantly, which parameters to ignore.
The PQZIP patented compression algorithm enables the meter to continuously store waveform signals over long periods of time this technology is unique to Elspec and ensures precise and accurate characteristics of the electrical system are recorded in detail.
The Elspec G4431 Blackbox power quality analyser series is designed to detect any event occurring on your system. The mechanism allows you to configure events on any measured parameter (more than 1,000). The event mechanism supports out-of-limit events as well as rate of changed limits. The G4430 analyser is capable of recording waveform signals continuously. The event configuration doesn’t trigger the recording but rather stores summary logs including start and end time, duration, severity and magnitude of the event. All events can be displayed in trends, tables or scatter charts as CBEME/ITIC.
The Elspec G4431 is complete with a Multi Input/Output module. The multi I/O module extends the meter capability and allows monitoring of 8 x fast digital input at 16sample/sec. 4 x fast digital output at 16 sample/sec. 4 x 4-20mA analogue inputs sampled at 1Hz with programmable scaling. Plus 4 4-20mA analogue output. The multi I/O module enables the gathering of Real Time digital and analogue data plus useful digital and analogue outputs. It also offers 3 x Changeover Relays and 1 x IRIG-B Input and 1 x RS232 input.
