The ASR-6000 series of Programmable AC/DC Power Source is the first stand-alone unit from GW Instek that supports AC single & three phase input & output functionality. The series employs third generation semiconductor silicon carbide (SiC) technology that’s enabled GW Instek to create this compact high-power density and high-performance AC/DC power source.

The GW Instek ASR-6450 Programmable AC/DC Power Source supports AC Single & Three Phase input and output requirements. Its main function of this high-power AC source is the performance testing of both single-phase and three-phase AC products and their ability to perform under diverse power variations from balanced and un-balanced supplies, phase failure and power loss, plus a full range of up to 253 adjustable arbitrary single and three phase waveform outputs.

The GW Instek ASR-6450 Programmable AC/DC Power Source offers three operational modes 1P2W, 1P3W & 3P4W the maximum phase voltage output is 350Vrms and the maximum line/line voltage is 700Vrms. In the AC three-phase output (3P3W) mode each phase supports independent output settings to cover unbalance power test requirements, the user can set the phase angle of L1, L2 and L3. The three independent phase outputs can also be used for the testing of three separate devices.

The GW Instek ASR-6450 Programmable AC/DC Power Source is such a compact three-phase power source with a great price to power output when compared to the other manufactured products.  Then you have the programmability of the unit plus its large graphical display that allows you to display key measurements across all three phases simultaneously. You can then switch to Harmonic Mode where you can view both Voltage & Current Harmonics up to the 100th order, including THDv & THDi.

In Scope mode you can view the voltage and current waveform for each independently set phase. The frequency range is also impressive, for AC 15.00…2000Hz & DC 1.00…2000.0Hz.
