Have you seen the latest AC/DC Power Source from GMCiUK?

This adds to the existing ASR-2000 Series which again offers two output ranges of 0…200Vrms & 0…400Vrms with current output up to 10A and a max power output of 1KVA.
Although normally tagged as a Power Source or Power Supply both the ASR-3000 & 2000 Series offer great Function Generator features especially for AC signals. They have many arbitrary AC waveforms pre-programmed but still editable, so you can quickly simulate the AC waveform required. |
It’s another great addition to our range helping customers with their compliance testing. The ASR-3000 & 2000 Series support pre compliance testing to such standards as ‘Electric Load Testing to ISO16750-2’ including all of the tests listed below. ISO16750-2:2012 Road Vehicles - Environmental Conditions and Testing for Electrical and Electronic Equipment - Part 2 : Electrical Loads |
4.2 - Direct Current Supply Voltage. |
Set Min/Max supply voltage and check all functions of DUT. |
4.3 - Overvoltage/Jump Start Conditions. |
Simulate ‘Overvoltage’ conditions for up to 60 minutes. |
4.4 - Superimposed Alternating Voltage. |
Simulate a residual alternating current on the direct current supply. |
4.5 - Slow Decrease & Increase of Supply Voltage. |
Simulates the battery being slowly discharged and then recharged |
4.6.1 - Discontinues in Supply Voltage. |
Simulate fuse failures in one circuit creating voltage dips in another circuit. |
4.6.2 - Reset Behaviour at Voltage Drop. |
Verifies the rest behaviour of the DUT at different voltage drops. |
4.6.3 - Starting Profile. |
Specifies a waveform that is representative of the vehicles starting profile. |
4.6.4 - Load Dump. |
Simulate different transients that can occur in the event of a battery being disconnected. |
4.7 - Reversed Voltage. |
Simulates a battery being connected with polarity reversed. |
Function generators normally only supports output power of typical 25 Watts, but the output of the function generator on the ASR-3000 Series is up to 3kW and offers a much wider voltage and current range. Further electrical tests required by ISO16750-2 such as Withstand Voltage and Insulation Resistance can all be performed by the GMCiUK range of Electrical Safety Testers. I just hope you are as excited about our new range of AC + DC Power Sources as we are! |
