Vision CO2 Monitor
The importance of monitoring CO2 levels in commercial buildings is becoming better understood as CO2 levels are now simply used to monitor the effectiveness of ventilation systems. The Building Regulations 2010 – Ventilation Part F calls for the use of CO2 Monitors that are mains powered and use a quality NDIR sensor, the Vision CO2 Monitor meet this requirement.
There is a simple sign that an occupied room is not well ventilated and that’s the level of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) present. This is basically the air that we breathe out. You can use this CO2 level to monitor and improve Air Quality and thus reduce the potential for Airborne Infection. If a rooms CO2 Level is high and this high level has been produced by several people simply breathing, talking, coughing or sneezing, then this is a clear indication that Airborne Pathogens may be present.
The Vision CO2 Monitor is the most cost effective way to indicate poor air quality within an occupied room. This ‘Plug in and See’ innovative mains powered sensor does not require any hard wiring as it is simply powered via a USB lead connected to a 3 pin mains power adaptor supplied with each unit. It monitors indoor Air Quality including Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Temperature & Relative Humidity.
CO2 Levels are clearly indicated via the large LCD display which also changes colour from Green, through to Yellow, Amber and then Red. This traffic light display indicates the key levels of CO2 to be monitored. The Vision C02 can be wall mounted using the bracket supplied with each unit.
The Vision CO2 Monitor utilizes a precision NDIR sensor using infrared measurement technology that monitors the concentration of CO2 in an occupied room. It’s also mains powered in line with the latest Building Regulations. This CO2 Transmission Risk Air Monitoring helps you reduce the spread of airborne viruses and helps you monitor the performance of your air ventilation system.
A comfortable and safe indoor climate is important in rooms where people are located and a low CO2 level is the simplest indicator that the potential aerosol concentration and thus any virus-laden aerosols are being diluted and the spread of airborne viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 or influenza is reduced. Generally for a healthy indoor climate one should try to maintain a CO2 concentration below 1000ppm and ideally below 800ppm. With this in mind the Vision CO2 monitors displays a clear Green illuminated display up to 800ppm, above this level the display changes to Amber until at 1000ppm, it then changes to orange and finally at 1500ppm it changes to red. This traffic light indication can clearly be seen from a distance so you always know what C02 zone you are in. These levels are set in line with the latest Building Regulations 2010 Part F which sets out the requirements for new commercial buildings to have a means of monitoring indoor air quality in occupied rooms.
