The GW Instek GPT-9904 AC/DC Withstand Voltage & Insulation Tester is designed for the testing of electrical devices and components according to various safety standards. It provides for ‘Withstand Voltage’ test of up to 5kV AC with a max output capacity of 500VA and a DC Withstand Voltage Tester of up to 6kV DC with a max output capacity of 100W. The Test voltage can be set between 50V to 5kV AC or 6kV DC and can be adjusted in 2V steps. The ‘Insulation Resistance’ test can be set between 50V to 1000V DC in 50V steps and the Ground Bond Test can be set between 3.00A to 32.00A AC in 0.01A steps.

The 240 x 64 Ice Blue Dot Matrix LCD Display clearly shows the applied voltage, test parameters, test conditions, measurement value and test results all on the screen at the same time. The GW Instek GPT-9900 Series also include an innovative sweep function to view test results as a graph. The sweep function creates a graph of one of the ACW, DCW, IR or GB tests in the special manual mode. The graph will plot the output voltage, current or resistance versus time. After the test has been completed, the test current, voltage or resistance at any point in time can be viewed in the graph. The real-time status update on the LCD display accompanied by the multi-coloured LED status indicators on the front panel allow operators to have full visual control of the test process. The statue indicator above the high voltage output terminal will automatically flash when the output is present. In addition the function keys arranged below the LCD display provide convenient operation so that test functions can easily be changed with a single action.

The GW Instek GPT-9900 Series allows you to store up to 100 user defined manual (MANU) tests in up to 100 memory locations. The automatic (AUTO) test then allows you to link together up to 16 different MANU tests and run them sequentially in your own automatic test sequence. Furthermore, the GPT-9900 Series can be used in conjunction with the GW Instek GSB-01/02 Multiplex Scanner Box to test up to 32 channels. It is particularly well suited for multi-point safety testing in quality control systems.
