The GPM-8310 Digital Power Meter is designed to monitor all of the power variables of single phase AC, DC or AC/DC power system. Monitoring direct input levels up to 600Vrms and current up to 20A it is suitable for precisely measuring the power consumption of electrical household appliances and components including standby power compliance to IEC 62301-2011 & EN50564-2011.

GW Instek GPM-8310 Description

The GW Instek GPM-8310 Digital Power Meter provides as many as 25 power measurement parameters. Different measurement modes can be selected according to ( AC+DC/ AC/ DC/ V-MEAN), providing up to 25 relevant parameters for power measurement, including voltage (Vrms/ Vac/ Vdc/ Vmn/ V+pk / V-pk), current (Irms/ Iac/ Idc/ I+pk/ I-pk), frequency (VHz/ IHz), power (P/ P+pk/ P-pk), crest factor (CFV/ CFI), apparent power (VA), reactive power (VAR), power factor (PF), phase angle (DEG), total harmonic distortion rate (THDV/THDI), maximum current ratio (MCR), and the MATH calculation function. Hence, for the measurement of low current/low power such as standby power consumption, or the measurement of power consumption of general products, this power meter provides the best range and accuracy support.

The advantages of the large 5” LCD display have been utilized to cover 2 display modes, ‘Enlarged’ mode displays a conventional power meter's four main measurement parameters to meet the requirement of accuracy and clarity for the test on manufacturing process. ‘Standard’ mode extends the display range to the maximum of 10 measurement parameters (2 major measurements + 8 monitor measurements) to satisfy the various measurement requirements of laboratory test and R&D engineers. For engineers looking to carry out standby power consumption test of DUT’s to IEC 62301/EN 50564, the GPM-8310 power meter provides the optimal measurement supports with power resolution down to 1mW and energy resolution down to 1mWh.

For larger power measurement the user can utilize the high capacity current terminals for continuous measurements up to 20A. Users can also monitor high voltage/current AC systems by utilizing external voltage and current transformers.
