The Janitza UMG 96RM-E is a Panel Mount Power Analyzer. Additional features over and above the standard Janitza UMG 96RM Power Analyzer include Residual Current Monitoring (RCM) allowing the continuous monitoring of residual currents measurement devices display the current value, record the long-term trend, and report when a critical value is exceeded. Preset thresholds can be set and digital outputs can be assigned against these warning levels. While RCD devices (residual current circuit breakers) switch off the power supply when a certain residual current is exceeded, the Janitza UMG 96RM-E monitors the current value, records the long-term trend, and reports when a critical value is exceeded. Monitoring residual currents continuously and taking action at an early stage means that the system is not shut down abruptly and without warning. The Janitza UMG 96RM-E includes 256MB of memory for long-term recording, up to 2 years’ worth of data, around 10M measurement values! A built-in web server hosting its own homepage, allows you to remotely view comprehensive measurements including RCM data directly through a browser, data that can’t be viewed on the meters front panel display.

The Janitza UMG 96RM-E is suitable for power distribution and sub-distribution systems within Building Management and Light Industrial Installations. Its user-friendly two button control can be used to scroll through all the measured variable display functions as well as for programming the unit. It can also be programmed and measurement data viewed via the GridVis PC software. It offers standard industrial RS485 interface with Modbus RTU Communication, Ethernet Connection for Modbus TCP/IP and Modbus Gateway applications.
