The Knick VariTrans P 41000 D1 Current Measurement Transducers offer a range of programmable inputs supporting mV inputs that are generally taken from precision DC current shunt resistors. 16 input/output signal combinations can easily be selected via a rotary switch on the front of the device. These include all popular standard DC current shunt output ranges including ±60mV, 90mV, 150mV, 300mV & 500mV and all are available with standard process signal outputs of either ±20mA, 4…20mA or ±10V. A further input of ±10V with a ±10V output is also available.

The isolation system meet the requirements of EN61010-1 and EN 50124-1 This European Standard deals with insulation coordination in railways. It applies to equipment for use in signalling, rolling stock and fixed installations. In this series, Knick relies on the newly developed TransShield technology, which compared to conventional designs enables very compact high-voltage transformers with low leakage. Thanks to the resulting space advantage, the P 41000 D1 DC current shunt isolators can be installed in its narrow 22.5 mm wide modular housing.
